James trained at Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts and works as a performer, musician, playwright and theatremaker. He is an Associate Director for Bag of Beard and a key member of the ensemble for BoxLess Theatre.
His work as a performer and musician includes Bath (The Bread & Roses Theatre), LOOP (Theatre Royal Stratford East, tour & Edinburgh Fringe), Buried (Tristan Bates Theatre & Old Red Lion – Offie Nominated for Best Lead Performance), Beauty & the Beast (Square Chapel Arts Centre) and Private Peaceful (The Barn Theatre). As both writer & performer – Renaissance Men (Old Red Lion Theatre and tour).
